Caring for curly hair can be a real handful! I have struggled my whole life to find the right products to balance the dry, frizzy headache that is the curly-girl life. That is why I developed this Flax Seed Hair Gel. My curls have never been healthier and I can now say that I love my curls!

When styling curly hair, the sooner you can set your curl pattern the better. To achieve beautiful, bouncy curls, apply styling products while your hair is still very damp and before frizz has time to set in. Waiting too long, may rough up the hair cuticle, creating unwanted frizzy, undefined curls.

USAGE:

Separate your hair into sections.

Apply a couple pumps of hair gel to palms and rub hands together.

Work gel through hair with closed hands, taking care not to rake through your fragile curls, as this can also cause damage and promote frizz.

Once gel is evenly distributed through hair, scrunch and then leave it alone! Allow hair to dry without playing with it or running your fingers through it. This will create a cast on the hair and set your curl pattern.

After hair is completely dry. It will still look wet and feel very stiff. Now is when you scrunch it! Squeeze a section from end to root, against your head, and continue until it's soft, and stiff cast has been broken.

Allowing hair to dry naturally is best, however if you are in a hurry, use a hair dryer with a good diffuser attachment, making sure that the airflow is gentle enough not to blow your curls apart.

When using this method, your style can hold for several days to a week between washing. Lightly spritz with water to revive curls as needed.

After this, I don’t touch my hair until it’s time to wash again, usually 4-5 days.

And last but not least…NEVER, EVER brush curly hair when dry. If you need to brush your hair, do so in the shower when hair is wet.
